There are many global health organizations doing great
work in the world. Many of these are nonprofits who are solving the most pressing health challenges of our time—HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, preventable childhood illnesses and the risk of death during pregnancy and childbirth. IntraHealth International, a Chapel Hill, North Carolina-based organization in operation since 1980, addresses these challenges by working in developing countries to mobilize local talent to create sustainable and accessible health care.
