Pape Gaye: Where Have All The Health Workers Gone?

Pape Gaye, President and CEO of IntraHealth, will deliver the keynote presentation at the Virtual Conference on the Repositioning of Family Planning: Part 2, on November 6. Gaye’s presentation, “Where Have All the Health Workers Gone?” will discuss human resources for health in Africa. Africa has 24% of the global disease burden, but only 3% of available human resources for health. Gaye will focus on the impact of this HRH crisis on family planning. Gaye’s presentation covers a range of promising practices and draws on specific African country examples to illustrate some successful approaches.

This French-language conference will take place November 6–8, as a free, online interactive event. It is sponsored by USAID, KfW Bankengruppe, the German Agency for World Population and Management Sciences for Health. Other presentations include:
