Celebrating Peace Through Service At Nairobi Women’S Hospital

To celebrate Kenya’s return to peace, staff from IntraHealth’s Nairobi office paid a social responsibility visit to the Nairobi Women’s Hospital on March 7. This hospital served numerous women and girls who suffered gender-based violence (GBV) during the recent upheavals in Kenya. Before meeting for breakfast to celebrate the new peace, IntraHealth staff prepared breakfast for GBV victims, cleaned the entire hospital, and presented donations of material items to support the hospital’s work.

“To us, there was no better way to mark International Women’s Day,” said Kimani Mungai, Kenya Program Director.
