Pape GayePape Amadou Gaye, MBA, President and CEO of IntraHealth
A native of Senegal, Pape Gaye draws on three decades of leadership in international health with extensive field experience in Francophone and Anglophone Africa. Prior to his appointment as IntraHealth's CEO, Gaye led the organization's regional office for West, Central and North Africa with his expertise in reproductive health, family planning, and HIV/AIDS program development, management and oversight, forging strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and international health leaders. Gaye contributed vastly to the strong reputation IntraHealth enjoys in training and learning, performance improvement and human capacity development. A master stand-up trainer, he has worked with the US Peace Corps, the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Committee and the Centers for Disease Control where he was responsible for field testing the mid-level management course in malaria prevention and diarrheal disease control. Technically adept and dedicated to improving health care for the poorest people around the globe, he recognizes that partnership is essential to meet the enormous challenges posed by viral epidemics such as HIV/AIDS and ongoing efforts to reduce maternal mortality and improve reproductive health care. Skilled in building cooperative relationships among diverse groups, organizations and governments, Gaye is able to creatively channel human and material resources to produce the most vibrant results.

Maureen CorbettMaureen Corbett, Vice President of Programs
Maureen Corbett joined IntraHealth in 1988 and has served in a variety of programmatic, technical, managerial and leadership roles. A graduate of the School for International Training's Program in Intercultural Management, she began her professional life with the Maternal and Child Health-Family Planning Extension Project in Bangladesh. With IntraHealth she has often worked in close collaboration with regional and country offices to assist host-country partners in designing and managing training and non-training interventions to improve provider performance and service delivery. As director of programs she advocates use of evidence-based interventions and lessons learned across projects and countries to maximize learning and expand IntraHealth's knowledge base within priority areas such as reproductive health,  maternal and child health and HIV/AIDS prevention and care. Ms. Corbett received the international 2003 Champion of Reproductive Health award from Ipas for her work in postabortion care.

Susie EudySusie Eudy, Manager, President’s Office
Susan Eudy joined IntraHealth in 1987 and has served in many capacities.  She is currently the Manager of the President’s Office and also Assistant Corporate Secretary.  She coordinates and supports the Executive Team ensuring the team maintains focus and direction.  She also works closely and collaborative with the President and CEO and Corporate Secretary in coordinating board activities and development.

 

 

Randy HeatonRandy Heaton, Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Randy Heaton joined IntraHealth in 2007. He is a partner with the executive services firm Tatum, LLC, with whom he has been affiliated since 1997. His 36-year career encompasses work with private, emerging growth and international companies in the technology, not-for-profit and business services sectors. Recipient of Tatum LLC’s 1999 North Carolina Outstanding Achievement award, Mr. Heaton served as CFO for Newtonian Software, Inc., MindLever.com, Inc., InterAcct, Inc., and Post Software International, Inc. He has also served as Deputy Director of Finance and Administration at the North Carolina Museum of Art and Project Consultant for MCNC, Inc. Mr. Heaton received his BS in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Rebecca KohlerRebecca Kohler, Vice President of External Affairs
Rebecca Kohler has more than twenty years experience is global health and development, with specific expertise in program design, resource development, strategic planning, program management, health communication and training. She has traveled widely, providing short and long-term technical assistance in over 20 countries in Africa, Asia and the former Soviet Union. Rebecca joined IntraHealth in 1998 to manage the West Africa programs for the PRIME project. In 2002, she opened IntraHealth’s project office in Armenia and successfully led several comprehensive maternal and child health programs there. She returned to headquarters in 2006 to head up a new program development unit responsible for leadership in strategic programmatic and financial growth of the organization. Prior to joining IntraHealth, she served as health communication technical advisor for John Snow Incorporated in Asmara, Eritrea, helping to establish the Ministry of Health’s health promotion unit (1997-1998) and for the International Planned Parenthood Federation Africa Regional Office in Nairobi, Kenya providing hands-on health communication technical assistance and coordination to the over 50 affiliate organizations throughout sub-Saharan Africa (1995-1997). Rebecca started her public health career working for Family Health International as a health communication and training officer for its early HIV prevention project, AIDSTECH, and for rolling out its hallmark training program for developing country journalists in population and development. Rebecca received her Master’s Degree in Public Health from UNC Chapel Hill in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education and her undergraduate degree from Duke University. Rebecca lives in Carrboro with her husband, two daughters and a golden retriever.

Mary ScottMary C. Scott, Vice President of Operations
Mary C. Scott has managed USAID-sponsored global projects for 27 years.  Her field experience extends to over 20 countries in all geographic regions. Ms. Scott joined IntraHealth in 2003 as Assistant Project Director for the PRIME II Project, where she oversaw the programs and operations of IntraHealth’s four regional and 11 country offices.   As VP for Operations, Ms. Scott currently oversees the corporate functions of Human Resources, IT/IS, Operations, Travel and Office Services.  She also serves as the Director of Operations for the Capacity Project.   Before joining IntraHealth, Ms. Scott worked for 13 years at RTI International, where she managed both global and bilateral reproductive health projects. From 1993 to 2003 she worked for the Futures Group International, where she was a Senior Scientist and directed the RAPID IV Project, a global project providing technical assistance on population policy and advocacy in 26 countries. Ms. Scott is an experienced facilitator of advocacy skills training programs and training of trainers, and she has mentored advocates for population and HIV issues in government departments and private-sector organizations, increasing their effectiveness by improving advocacy skills.

Anne WilsonAnne Wilson, Director of the Capacity Project
Anne Wilson joined IntraHealth as the Capacity Project's director of technical resources in 2006. She previously served as vice president of the Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH), as well as director of PATH's Washington, DC office from 1997 until 2006. She has also worked as a senior advisor for the USAID Population, Health and Nutrition Center and as international health manager for the US Peace Corps. Ms. Wilson holds an MS in nursing from Catholic University of America and a BA in Spanish and anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania, both with honors. She is the recipient of several awards, including the PATH President's Award for Outstanding Leadership, the USAID Superior Unit Leadership Citation and the Emmett Cocke Social Justice Award. She is also the author of numerous publications on reproductive health, adolescent health care and HIV/AIDS prevention program design, among other topics.
