Costa Rica is rich in biological diversity, with rapid growth in its technological industries. However, its continuing development is under threat from a rising HIV/AIDS rate. The country’s health workers need training in HIV/AIDS treatment and care and reducing stigma in health care facilities against people living with HIV/AIDS.
